London Society for Promoting Christian Knowledge 1906

A scarce and detailed description of Tibet and its people largely based on the reports of the 'secret native agents of the Transfrontier Survey'. The author, who died shortly before the publication of this work, had been chaplain at Darjeeling and published several books and papers on Tibet over a period of fifteen years. He was also responsible for supervising the publication of Sarat Chandra Das's Tibetan Dictionary.
